Copyright Sessions will focus on copyright practices at York and the options available to instructors for their course materials whether they choose to use textbooks and course packs or digital resources on their Learning Management Systems (LMS). These include eResources from the York Libraries, Fair Dealing, Public Domain, content licensed under Creative Commons and Open Access,  Internet content, Instructor created content and obtaining permissions from rights holders.

Prior to uploading content or files of literary or artistic works to your course websites(s), ensure that you review the copyright information and requirements posted at the ‘Copyright and You’ website. The website provides information on everything you need from the basics of copyright, FAQs on copyright requirements for course websites to how to apply Fair Dealing to your copying at York.
